Super Easy Hummus

Whip up this Super Easy Hummus in no time! Start by draining one can of chickpeas, but don’t discard that liquid just yet—it’s essential for achieving the perfect creamy texture. In your food processor, combine the chickpeas with a tablespoon of lemon juice, a tablespoon of olive oil, one crushed garlic clove, half a teaspoon of ground cumin, and half a teaspoon of salt. Blend until smooth, adding a splash of reserved chickpea liquid if needed to reach your desired consistency. For a hint of nuttiness, finish it off with a couple of drops of sesame oil. Serve with pitta or fresh veggies, and enjoy the fresh, zesty flavours!

Ingredients

1 can chickpeas, drained, liquid reserved
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 drops sesame oil, or to taste

Directions

Step 1:
Blend chickpeas, leamon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin,salt and sesame oil in a food processor.
Step 2:
Stream reserves chickpea liquid into the mixture as it blends until desired consistency is achieved.
Step 3:
Serve with pita chips or veggies.
